Vrushank Vora is a General Partner at Mare Liberum, a fund focused on sustainability and national security in the maritime domain. Prior to joining Mare Liberum, he was a Partner at America's Frontier Fund ("AFF"), where he focused on microelectronics and artificial intelligence. In addition to his role as an investor, he founded two companies at the intersection of AI and supply chains. His first company developed AI-driven supply chain financing and forecasting solutions, which were adopted by some of the largest Fortune 500 companies. His second company built AI-powered, hyper-detailed supply chain mapping for the Department of Defense. Prior to entrepreneurship, he published research at premier machine learning conferences and was among the first to productize distributed reinforcement learning. In July 2024, he began serving as a Co-Principal Investigator for the National Science Foundation’s Assessing and Predicting Technology Outcomes, an initiative to evaluate the effectiveness of R&D investments and enhance U.S. competitiveness in emerging and critical technologies. He earned a B.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, and Economics from the University of Chicago and an M.S. in Computer Science with a specialization in Machine Learning Systems from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
